Hello, dear Friends of Musica Vitale!

We hope our newsletter will give you a chance to stay in touch with the group, learn about our musicians, and plan to attend our future performances. We want to bring you up to date on what Musica Vitale is doing this spring and our upcoming concerts and programs.

Although our seasonal grant of the City of Coronado was dramatically reduced, with your help we were able to produce two excellent winter performances of Oratorio de Noel in San Diego and Coronado. We also gave a free concert on Veterans Day in collaboration with Crown City Chorale and Coronado Community Band. We thank you for your continuous support!

What We're Up To

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming program, Celebrating Women in the Arts with soloists of Musica Vitale, Michael Sokol, Lisa Parente, and Julia Rahm, and our guest instrumentalists, violinist Nonna Alakhverdova and pianist Olena Galytska. You will hear vocal and instrumental works by women composers: Lili Boulanger, Amy Beach, Lori Laitman, Hildegard Von Bingen, and others. Dr. Bill Propp and Penny Hawkins will provide insightful commentaries and fun stories to complement our program.

Please come to St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, 2728 Sixth Avenue, San Diego, CA, on March 23rd at 5 PM. We will accept suggested donations of $20 at the door, which will benefit Music Ministries of St. Paul's. If you are writing a check, please address it to Musica Vitale.

This program will be offered in different locations of San Diego throughout the season presenting a variety of works by women composers, whom we cannot fully explore in the course of one presentation.

We hope to see you there!
